Tread Lightly

I'm choosing
to live
a quiet life
not the high life
​
letting
my footsteps
fall gently
on the earth
​
in step with
the season
that
I am in
​
aspiring to
light my portion
of the world
with gladness
​
rather than
curse
the
imperfections
​
what
a relief it is
to finally
let go
​
Persevere
There is a space
beyond the trees
beyond the poor
reflection
there is a whisper
on the wind
unfazed
by imperfection
beyond we'll see
with brand new eyes
that perseverance
wins
and hope will bring
its true reward
resolving
everything
